I immigrated to Canada at age 7 and grew up up on the prairies. I received my RN from the University of Saskatchewan then married my husband Norm and raised two daughters. We were blessed with five grandsons.

My passion for art began as a young child. Later on, time permitting, I Began to paint landscapes and then started experimenting with various mediums and styles including abstraction which gave me great liberty to be more creative.

After moving to Nanaimo I joined the Federation of Canadian artists and received my AFCA in March 2009. I have taken part in many federation shows as well as solo exhibitions. I am also grateful for a number of awards that I've received over the years.

I was pleased to have my work on the cover of "Translating Canada" by the University of Ottawa Press. Painting "Forest Pattern #5 is on the cover of "Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine in 2014 and I was published in Salt magazine in 2014.
